What does a glass of wine,

a margarita, and an armadillo have in common? Me! That's me preparing for the race. Those things are so wiggly. Ugh! On top of it all mine lost:(

Here's a close up of the little creature.

Texas....

Tuesday evening was our Bobcat Fiesta at LaVillita Historic Arts Village in San Antonio. (I will finish this Texas thing soon). It was fabulous---great food, great entertainment, and great fun!

The Wedding....

Saturday, October 25, our youngest daughter was married to our new son-in-law John. It was a beautiful wedding and we had a great time at the reception. I will post pictures later. The kids are off on their honeymoon in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

No getting lost...

at a Bobcat Convention. We were in good hands with our friends in orange shirts. They were everywhere to make sure our needs were taken care of and that we didn't turn the wrong way. They were Great!! And the signs were helpful getting around---yup, you guessed it---construction.

Deep in the Heart of....

Texas---Bobcat style. Bob and I were able to attend the North American Bobcat Dealers Meeting in San Antonio. We stayed in the very posh Grand Hyatt Hotel. The pictures do not do the place justice. (my camara wants to add yellow) It was fabulous!!!

They lost our who???

Yup...Chicago lost our flight attendants. How do you lose flight attendants?? A gentleman came over the speaker and informed us our flight attendants were MIA (missing in action). Well he didn't really use the words MIA, but the same idea none-the-less. He said management was looking for them. Actually, it was pretty funny--especially the way he worded the announcement. Well, about 10 to 15 minutes later, our flight attendants were found. It probably didn't help that some of the passengers clapped when they walked by us. Our attendants were slightly put out by the whole thing and weren't very friendly. So much for flying the friendly skies. At least it wasn't our pilots that were missing. Whew again!!
Coming soon..."Deep in the Heart of Bobcat (Texas) including pics.

We're Off! Well almost...

On Monday, September 15, we arrived at the airport with time to spare. Enjoyed a cup of coffee and relaxed a little before boarding for Chicago. We were on the runway when we were told we were on hold due to heavy traffic in Chicago. Then I remembered my dad's old saying "if you've got time to spare go by air". About 45 minutes later, we were off. Had good flight and still arrived on time for our next flight. Whew!!!

After fudge and popcorn for lunch....

we were ready for dinner. We ate at the Mackinac Grill in St. Ignace, a spot Bob and I like to eat at when we are on vacation. Here we are after dinner. Dad and Bob--and Mom, Betty and Norm

...and, yes, their shirts do say "St. Ignace, Michigan a quiet little drinking village with a fishing problem." All the wait staff wear them. And they do have great fish and it is a quiet town, even with a ton of tourists.

I love northern Michigan.

Final Destination...

after parading thru downtown St. Ignace, the tractors made their way to the Kewadin Casino where they were on display for the weekend. Lot's of security to keep these tractors safe. Not all tractors could fit in this lot. Some eventually parked on the hill and some had to leave for home.

Here he comes...

looking a little chilly. (The wind coming across the bridge was cold a times). And...it took awhile to cross considering these machines don't move very fast:)
The tractors were lined up with their respective tractor clubs. They were required to carry a tow strap (which some had to use)---couldn't have them stuck on the bridge! Also, minimum speed was 10 miles an hour. So everyone was pretty excited when they finally arrived on the St. Ignace side.

1st Annual Antique Tractor Crossing...

on the Mighty Mac. Here we are waiting for the parade to reach us on the St. Ignace side of the bridge. It was a little chilly.

The first tractor has crossed the bridge. What a site to see. Only about 630 or so to go. How long before Dad (Grandpa) arrives is anyone's guess.

Mackinac City....

We spent September 11-13 in Mackinac City with Bob's parents and Norm & Betty (Bob's sister and brother-in-law). As you can see, snacks were not a problem. Plenty of fudge and popcorn purchased on a shopping trip to downtown Mackinac. On Friday, Bob's dad is going to participate in the 1st Annual Antique Tractor Parade crossing the Mackinac Bridge!!!

Happy 21st Birthday

to Claudia!! Hope you are having a great day. God's many blessings to you!!!

Memorial Day

What a beautiful day! We haven't had this nice of a Memorial Day in a long time. Went to the parade this morning and then to the cemetery. The parade was fun, all be it short----but there was a great turn out of veterans marching and riding in the parade. That was great to see. It was wonderful to have the crowd applaud when they came by. Memorial Day parades were always important to my family as my dad was a WWII veteran and loved to organize large parades in my hometown.

We thank all veterans and servicemen and women for protecting and promoting freedom throughout the world. We are forever grateful for your sacrifice!!

Thank you Dad for serving. I love you and miss you!!!

THE DRESS

Late this afternoon, after work, Shari and I picked up her wedding dress at David's Bridal. It is GORGEOUS. She looks absolutely beautiful in it. But, no pictures until after the wedding. Wouldn't want the groom to see it--no way:) Wedding plans are coming along nicely!! We are so excited.

Bergy Fun Nights....

Even tho this happens to be a picture from last year, I thought it would be a good way to practice posting pictures. We had several of these game nights last year. This year we have not yet started----I think I'm the hold up:( Need to get crackin' and invite the family over. It's always fun, food, fun, food---you get the idea! AND I posted the picture by myself---sweet!

Belated....

Happy Birthday to soon to be son-in-law John (Jan. 2 was his day)! Boy, am I slow. Can't post on time and can't buy a birthday card on time---even tho I work with cards everyday. Sorry....Valentines cards took priority and today TY went out on the shelves for V-Day. This will be my life until seasonal cards are over sometime after Father's Day or Graduation which ever goes down off the shelves last. Thanks for sharing your cake----it was fabulous!!!
