WELCOME....

to our new grandson Peter. He was born on December 24, 2007 at 8:56pm. Weighing in at 8 lb 15 oz. and 191/2" long, he is a big boy and oh so cute!! We just arrived home from the hospital and he was such a joy to hold. Mom, Dad and Baby doing well. He shares a birthday with his maternal cousin Ashley. So two grandchildren on the same birthday---how fun! Can't wait until they come home. Life is a miracle. What a great God we serve!

Gone Digital.....

or crazy---not sure which! We purchased a digital camara for the first time tonight. A little stressful. Too many choices. Aargh!!! Now for those of you who are laughing or rolling your eyes at the fact that this was a bit stressful or you just can't believe we have waited so long to go digital, you need to understand that we also owned a color computer monitor before we owned a color TV. You can stop laughing anytime:) Anyway, we settled on a Canon Powershot Elph. Can't wait to use it. Now I need to learn how to post pictures. Well, after I learn to use the camara. (First question I asked the salesman was "How easy is it to delete the pictures?" "Easy," was his reply.) Not the answer I was looking for. So time will tell........

Our Annual Christmas Luncheon....

was held at Noel's in Jamestown. It's always wonderful to usher in December and the Christmas season with our yearly trek to Noel's. Ten of us enjoyed a delicious lunch, wonderful fellowship, and of course, Noel's beautiful Christmas decorations. For those of you who have never been to Noel's, it is decorated for Christmas year round. (Hence the name.) Fun, fun, fun!!! This year Kathy was able to come up from Kalamazoo. We are glad you could join us. Hopefully your schedule will allow you to come next year. Also, enjoying the tradition today were Grandma Jean, Grandma Lucille, Aunt Marie, Betty, Michelle C., Lori, Carolyn, Ashley, and of course myself. Not joining us today were Sarah(who is soon to have a baby), Shari(who is in crunch time with the end of her semester at GVSU), Carrie (who is working today to make sure our Christmas mail moves on time), and Michelle B. (who is soon to finish her first semester at U of M). We missed you guys. And......thank you to Lori for once again taking the time out of your busy schedule to organize this event for us. What a YUMMY day!!!!!!!

Belated.....

happy birthday to my nephew Kendell (11-06). Also, belated happy anniversary to Bob's parents. We had dinner at Norm and Betty's last Sunday night for them--- celebrating 62 years of marriage. They are great role models for us.

Remembering

We remember our precious twin grandsons Isaac Robert (11-15-06) and Luke Alan (11-16-06). We held you in our arms for such a short time, but we will hold you in our hearts forever.

Oh My

I thought my first two posts were mistake free. Yikes!!! Either I forgot how to proof my work or these bifocals really don't work. Maybe I was just excited to post.

BIRTHDAYS

Happy Birthday to Lori 11-05, to Sarah 11-07, and to Seth 11-13. This is fun. Now I won't get anything done. :) Now, about this font thing. I think this is considered large. Seemed to me that normal was hard on my bifocals. Any opinions? Maybe I shouldn't ask.
